How to View and Download an Instagram Profile Picture

Instagram shows profile photos as a tiny circle and doesn't let you zoom in. Here's how to see the bigger version.

Steps

1. Open the Profile Picture Downloader.
2. Type the username, for example natgeo, or paste the profile link.
3. Tap Download to see the picture and save it.

Size you get

We try to get the HD copy first (up to 1080 px). When Instagram limits that request, we show the small public preview (often only 100 px) so you still get something.

Respect people's privacy

Profile pictures are public, but that doesn't mean you can reuse them. Never use someone's photo to create a fake profile, which breaks Instagram's rules and, in many countries, the law.
