How to Download Instagram Reels on Android Phones
By the IGLink team ·
Android makes downloads easy, because files land in a normal Download folder you can open from any gallery app. Here is the quickest way to save a reel.
Steps
- In Instagram, open the reel and tap Share › Copy link.
- Open Chrome and visit the IGLink Reels Downloader.
- Long-press the box and tap Paste, or use our Paste button.
- Tap Download, then Download MP4 under the preview.
- Chrome shows a "Downloading" bar. Tap Open when it finishes.
Where Android saves the video
Most phones store it in Internal storage › Download. Samsung Gallery shows it in the "Downloads" album, and Google Photos shows it under Library › Download.
Brand-specific notes
| Phone | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy | My Files › Downloads, or Gallery › Albums › Download |
| Google Pixel | Files by Google › Downloads |
| Xiaomi / Redmi | File Manager › Download |
| OnePlus / Oppo | File Manager › Download |
Pros and cons of browser downloads on Android
Pros
- No app to install, so no extra permissions
- Works on any Android version with a modern browser
- Original quality file
Cons
- One link at a time
- Needs an internet connection while downloading
Troubleshooting
If Chrome says the download failed, check free storage, then try again. If the tool says it can't find the post, open the link in an incognito tab. If you see a login wall, the reel is private.
