How to Download Instagram Videos on PC and Mac

On a computer you don't even need the Instagram app. You can copy links straight from instagram.com.
Copy the link on desktop
- Open the post or reel on instagram.com.
- Click the three dots (…) and choose Copy link, or copy the URL from the address bar.
Download the video
- Open the IGLink Video Downloader in a new tab.
- Press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac) in the box.
- Click Download, then Download MP4.
The file goes to your Downloads folder. On Mac, Safari may open it in a preview first. Use File › Save.

Editing after download
The MP4 opens in any editor: CapCut desktop, DaVinci Resolve, iMovie, Premiere. If you plan to reuse someone else's video, get permission first.
