Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about IGLink, privacy, quality, devices and copyright.
Is IGLink free to use?
Yes. Every public-content tool on IGLink is free. There is no trial, no paid unlock and no account wall.
Do I need to install an app or browser extension?
No. Open iglink.pro in any modern browser, paste the link and download. Nothing to install.
Can I download from private Instagram accounts?
No. We only process content that is already visible without logging in. Private posts stay private.
Does the creator get notified when I download?
No. Instagram does not notify creators when someone saves a public post through a third-party page like this.
Will my download have a watermark?
IGLink does not add a watermark. You receive the public file Instagram already hosts.
Which devices work?
iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Windows, macOS, Linux and Chromebooks — any device with a current browser.
Can I download Stories and Highlights?
Instagram now requires a logged-in session for Stories and Highlights. Because we never ask for your password, those formats are not available here.
Is downloading Instagram media legal?
Saving public content for personal use is usually fine. Reposting or selling someone else's work without permission is not. Respect copyright and Instagram's Terms.
What resolution will I get?
Whatever Instagram publishes publicly for that post — often 720p or 1080p for video, and up to about 1440px on the long edge for photos.
Do you store my downloads?
No permanent media archive. Short technical caching of a resolved link may last a few minutes.
How do carousels work?
We list each slide. Download the photos and videos you need one at a time.
Can I download IGTV or long videos?
Yes — use the IGTV tool or paste a /tv/ link on the homepage.
Where do files go on Android?
Usually the Downloads folder; Gallery and Files apps both show them.
How do I save to the iPhone Camera Roll?
After download, open the file and use Share → Save Video or Save Image.
Why is the service sometimes slow?
Instagram rate-limits datacenter IPs. Try again shortly, or switch networks.
