How to Share or Reference a Public TikTok Responsibly
Prefer native shares
TikTok’s share sheet keeps attribution. Use it when the viewer can open the app.
When you downloaded a file
Keep the original URL in your notes. Credit the creator on slides or blogs. Do not strip captions and claim ownership.
Classroom / research
Short quotations with citation are safer than full re-uploads. See legal explainer.
